Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm has proved to be one of the smartest acquisitions in US companies.

The deal, valued at $4.05 billion in cash and shares, was announced on October 30, 2012, marking the beginning of a new era in the Star Wars franchise. ‘This was one of the smartest acquisitions in history,’ said Paul Dagarabian, chief analyst at ComScore, CNBC.
